Common Queries and Questions

1. What is bespoke refrigeration?
Bespoke refrigeration is the collaboration between CDT Concepts, the client and architect to design a refrigeration cabinet that is specific to your individual requirements. We can create different sized cabinets with an array of fridge, freezer, wine, beverages, fruit & vegetables and meat compartments.
2. How do I arrange for a custom designed cabinet?
Contact CDT Concepts directly or through your architect or builder, to arrange a design consultation. We will discuss your refrigeration requirements, manufacturing and installation programme.
3. What are the installation requirements for a custom designed refrigeration cabinet?
All the cabinets have remotely positioned condensing units. This allows us to create a cabinet with greater storage area. It keeps the operating noise and heat out of the house and allows for easier maintenance with less disruption to the household. The condensing unit is generally located in a plant room or an area with ventilation. This can be some distance away from the refrigeration cabinet. The refrigeration pipes connecting the fridge to the condensing unit are routed through the building during the construction phase for a new build or renovation. A dedicated power circuit of 240v 20amp is required along with a drainage point for condensate waste water.
4. How do I clean my cabinet?
Stainless steel is one of the most resilient materials available for a wide range of household and industrial uses. Its chromium film is responsible for its resistance to rust and tarnish, and with proper care, this film can provide protection for many years. The integrity of the film can be damaged by dirt and other contaminants however, so stainless steel must be cleaned regularly with safe cleaning products. Scrub off any pieces of food, grease, and fingerprints from your appliance surface. A microfiber cloth and a mild detergent like dish soap, work well for the initial cleaning of the stainless steel appliances. Only use a few drops of the mild detergent so it doesn’t leave behind a soapy residue while cleaning. ALWAYS RUB WITH THE GRAIN OF THE STAINLESS STEEL. Rubbing against the grain could leave permanent scratches. Rinse with clean hot water only, and dry immediately with a clean cloth. You can also try buffing away streaks with mineral oil, or using a special stainless steel cleaner.
5. Who installs the cabinet or cool room?
CDT Concepts uses a team of qualified technicians to install and commission each installation.
6. Do the products require servicing?
It is advisable to have your bespoke cabinet or cool room serviced every 6-12 months to ensure that it is running as it was designed.
7. Where are the products made?
All the products designed by CDT Concepts are manufactured in Australia.
8. Do they come with warranty?
All installations come with a warranty of 2 Years on the Condensing Unit and 12 months all other Parts. 2 Years on the Evaporator Parts and 12 months labour during normal business hours.
